Smile # 1

Before & After

This patient presented with not only very crowded looking teeth with the upper lateral incisors tucked in behind the other teeth, but with a very narrow looking smile and a poorly restored broken lower incisor. Treatment consisted of at-home bleaching followed by the fabrication of a lower all porcelain, zirconium based crown and eight upper porcelain veneers to not only smooth off the crowded appearance, but also to achieve a wider looking smile. The metal fillings in the back were replaced with composite resin natural looking fillings.

Smile # 2

Before & After

This patient presented with obvious crowding and a very wide smile. The crown on his upper left central incisor was far lighter than the rest of his front teeth. An effort to preserve the existing crown was made and this result was achieved by the use of only three porcelain veneers on the two teeth to the right and one on the left of that crown. The outside areas of the the two lateral incisor veneers had to have extreme shade gradations to blend into the eye teeth beside them and give the effect of a uniform bright smile.

Smile # 3

Before & After

This patient presented with older porcelain bonded to metal crowns on his two upper right front teeth. They were no longer aesthetic and the patient wanted a more attractive smile. Treatment consisted of at-home bleaching followed by replacement of the two old crowns with new all ceramic, zirconium based crowns and a matching porcelain veneer on his other front tooth. With these particular treatment choices, the aesthetics should remain acceptable for many years.

Smile # 4

Before & After

This patient presented with a number of functional and cosmetic concerns. The obvious aesthetic problem was the position of her right lateral incisor far back in the palate. This resulted in the right side eye tooth being forced forward, a space between it and the right side central incisor and a midline shift of the front teeth to the right side. The gum was also overgrown over the left side lateral incisor compromising any aesthetic correction. Treatment objectives were to eliminate the right lateral incisor and replace it with a substitute in line with the others, correct the midline shift, and lengthen the look of the left lateral incisor. Treatment took approximately one month and consisted of trimming of the gums, extraction of one tooth, fabrication of an all porcelain zirconium bridge from the upper right eye tooth to the central incisor, an all porcelain zirconium crown of the other incisor and a porcelain veneer on the left lateral incisor.

Smile # 5

Before & After

This patient presented with an old bridge on the upper left and spacing between her remaining other front teeth. Due to numerous missing back teeth, the space between the front teeth had opened with the teeth drifting outwards. Treatment objectives were to stop the drift of the teeth by providing enough vertical support of her jaws with more back teeth and attach the others together for stability. This was to be accomplished in a way that provided an aesthetic replacement for the old bridge. The final result was achieved over a three week period.
